Welcome to our study "The Case of Dr. Albrecht"


Dear participant,

thank you for your interest in this study which we are conducting at the chair for social psychology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and at the Leibniz Institute for Psychology (ZPID) in Trier.

The study takes about 7 minutes to complete. After your informed consent to participate, we will describe a fictitious case of data fraud allegations in science and ask you about your impressions of it.

Participation requirements

To participate, you need to be currently working as a researcher at a university, college, or research institute. Importantly, your research activities should include working with data. You should be at least 18 years old and have a very good understanding of English language.

Our thanks

As a thank you for your participation, you can opt-in to a raffle of six gift vouchers (www.wunschgutschein.de) of 50 Euro each. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to receive information about the study results after data collection and analysis is completed (ca. fall of 2026).

  • Please note that you can only participate in this study once. Multiple participations are not permitted.
